Gemini system instructions
Gemini accepts huge inputs, video and long PDF sets included, and that changes the prompting. You skip the chunking, hand over the whole document and ask for one targeted extraction. System instructions are stored apart from the conversation and persist, so role and format go there instead of being repeated each turn.
