Raycast AI turns the launcher you already use for opening apps and files into a place to run short prompts against a selection or the clipboard. You gain speed: no new window, no context switch, and the answer appears where you asked.
It suits short, self-contained jobs: a rewrite, a translation, an explanation of a highlighted error. Anything that needs a long back-and-forth or a big pasted document belongs somewhere else.
Notes from the author
Give your three or four most-used AI commands their own keyboard shortcuts and skip the launcher search. That is most of the speed advantage over a browser tab.
